Where to Buy an Electric Unicycle in the US: Makers, Amazon or a Dealer

By EUC ReviewPublished 7 min readHow we research

Affiliate disclosure: product links on this page go to Amazon, or to the maker's own store for brands that sell only direct. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you; a link to a maker's store earns us nothing. No retailer or brand sees our picks before they are published or has any say in them. How we choose.

Buy InMotion and King Song wheels from the maker's US store or from the maker's own Amazon store, and buy Begode and Leaperkim wheels from an established US dealer. Whichever channel you use, find out who will handle a warranty claim before you pay: all four makers tie their warranty to where the wheel was bought, and three of them say plainly that a dealer or marketplace purchase goes back to the seller first.

This guide sets out each channel's published warranty, return and shipping terms, read on the makers' and dealers' own policy pages on October 9, 2026. We name dealers only as facts about what they publish, not as a judgment of their service.

The short answer by brand

Where each brand sells in the US, October 9, 2026
BrandMaker's US storeMaker's own Amazon storeUsual route
InMotioninmotionworld.com, ships from a US warehouseYes: "Inmotion Direct" sells the E20, E20 Lite, V9 and P6Maker store or its Amazon store
King Songkingsong.com US storeYes: "KINGSONG Official Store" sells the 14D Pro, 16S Pro, 18XL Pro, S18 Pro+, S19 Pro and F18Maker store or its Amazon store
Begodebegode.com, all 11 wheels marked sold out; ships from US, EU or China warehousesNone found; one A2 listing was from a third-party sellerUS dealer, or a pre-order on begode.com
Leaperkim (Veteran)leaperkim.com showed a password promptNone foundUS dealer

The Amazon sellers come from the listings themselves (per the Amazon listings, checked October 9, 2026). Begode's own electric unicycle collection showed every model as sold out that day, with some on pre-order, and its shipping policy says orders may ship from a US, European or Chinese warehouse depending on stock. Leaperkim's own site asked for a password and carried an expired security certificate when we tried it, so for Leaperkim the dealers are the route. Our brand comparison covers the four makers in more depth.

Buying from the maker's US store

This is the cleanest warranty path for InMotion and King Song (our InMotion and King Song line-up guides list each maker's current models). InMotion's warranty applies only to products bought from its official website and is not transferable; claims go through its contact page with your order details, serial number and photos, and it answers within 1 to 3 business days. After the first 7 days, US owners pay shipping both ways to the service center. King Song's policy covers purchases made direct or through its authorized channels, and it pays shipping both ways on a confirmed defect reported within 30 days of receipt.

The catch is returns. InMotion takes back only a sealed, unused wheel within 15 days. King Song charges a fixed $250 fee ($350 for heavy or oversized units) plus return shipping even within 14 days, and nothing is returnable after 30 days. Shipping is free on InMotion orders of $100 or more to the lower 48 states, per its shipping policy; King Song's shipping policy excludes Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Neither ships to PO boxes.

Buying from the maker's Amazon store

Both InMotion and King Song run their own Amazon stores, and the listings we checked were in stock at prices close to the makers' own stores. The question is the warranty. InMotion's warranty page says it applies to products bought directly from its website and that distributor purchases are handled by the distributor; it does not mention Amazon. King Song's policy says that for Amazon, dealer and marketplace purchases, the seller's or channel's terms may apply and the seller may be the first point of contact.

So before you order, message the seller and ask who handles a warranty claim and where the wheel goes for repair, and keep the answer. Read the "Sold by" line too: one King Song 16X Pro listing was sold by "TOPFEEL Official Store" under the TOPFEEL brand, and the only Begode A2 listing we found was sold by a third party at $1,299, against $398 to $950 on Begode's own store (per the Amazon listings). Those are not the maker's stores.

Buying from a US specialist dealer

For Begode and Leaperkim, a dealer is the practical route, and Begode's warranty says outright that products bought from a dealer, distributor or marketplace must be handled by that seller first. Dealers publish their own terms, which are often simpler than the makers'. eWheels offers a one-year warranty that includes the battery pack, covers return shipping on wheels that arrive dead, and otherwise has owners pay shipping both ways to its repair center in Tucson, Arizona; it ships from Los Angeles, within North America only, per its shipping details. Its listings for Leaperkim wheels say each unit is inspected for firmware, battery voltage, motor and chassis before shipping.

Alien Rides gives a one-year warranty from arrival, ships warranty parts free within the continental US, and covers return shipping if you send the whole wheel to its San Francisco location. Its locations page lists the San Francisco store plus third-party repair centers in the Bronx and Deer Park, New York, Somerville, New Jersey, and Las Vegas, Nevada, which need prior authorization. This is not a full list of US dealers, and listing a dealer here is not a verdict on its service.

Buying used or from a private seller

Assume there is no warranty. InMotion's warranty stays with the original purchaser, Begode's does not transfer on resale or gift, and King Song says second-hand purchases may not be eligible. Our used wheel checklist covers what to inspect instead.

Before you pay: a checklist

  • Get the name of whoever handles warranty claims, and where the wheel goes for repair, in writing.
  • On Amazon, check the "Sold by" line matches the maker's own store.
  • Read whether a ridden wheel can be returned at all: InMotion requires it sealed, King Song allows under 5 miles from day 14 to 30, and Alien Rides allows under 2 miles if approved.
  • Check delivery limits: no PO boxes for InMotion or King Song, and no Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico for King Song.
  • Keep every piece of packaging. InMotion, King Song and the two dealers above all require the original packaging for a return, and InMotion's V12S manual says to keep it for at least 30 days.
  • Inspect on arrival and report damage fast: within 7 days for InMotion and King Song, 48 hours for Begode, and 72 hours (with a video showing 0 miles) for Alien Rides.
  • If you need a UL 2272 certified wheel, ask for the certificate; see our UL 2272 guide.

What to skip

Skip listings whose seller is not the maker or a dealer that publishes its terms, listings sold under a different brand name than the wheel, and prices far above or below the maker's own store. Skip buying a used wheel because it is under a year old and "still under warranty": none of the four makers' policies carries over to a second owner. Our warranty comparison sets the makers' terms side by side, part by part.

Frequently asked questions

Should I buy an electric unicycle on Amazon?

It can work for InMotion and King Song, which both run their own Amazon stores, but check the Sold by line first. King Song's warranty policy says the seller's terms may apply to Amazon purchases, and InMotion's warranty page covers website purchases without mentioning Amazon, so ask the seller who handles warranty claims before you order.

Does buying from a dealer affect the maker's warranty?

Yes. InMotion says distributor purchases are handled by the distributor, Begode says dealer purchases go to the original seller first, and King Song says the seller's terms may apply. Dealers publish their own cover instead: eWheels offers one year including the battery pack, and Alien Rides one year from arrival.

Can I return an electric unicycle after riding it?

Usually not. InMotion accepts only unused, sealed wheels within 15 days, and eWheels only unopened ones within 14 days. King Song allows a return from day 14 to 30 with under 5 miles and a 20% restocking fee plus fees, and Alien Rides may approve a ridden wheel with under 2 miles for a 20% fee.

Where can I buy a Leaperkim Veteran electric unicycle in the US?

Through US dealers. Leaperkim's own website showed a password prompt on October 9, 2026. eWheels listed the Patton-S, Lynx, Lynx-S, Sherman-L, Sherman-P and Oryx that day, and Alien Rides listed the Lynx, Sherman-L and Patton-S.

Do electric unicycle sellers ship to Alaska and Hawaii?

King Song's shipping policy excludes Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. InMotion excludes them from free shipping and does not say whether it ships there. eWheels ships within North America and says delivery takes longer outside the continental US, and Alien Rides charges shipping both ways on warranty work outside the lower 48.

Can I test ride an electric unicycle before buying?

InMotion runs a free test-ride program through stores listed on its dealer locator page, booked by email to its customer service address. Alien Rides has a retail store in San Francisco. Otherwise, ask local dealers directly, since most sales are online.
